What did your kids do this summer? Kids that attended UNM Continuing Education’s Paws & Claws Pet Lovers Day Camp did a little good while having a lot of fun. In this summer’s Paw’s and Claws camp, kids met working and therapy animals, made treats and crafts for animal friends, visited rescued animals, learned pet first aid techniques, discovered tips and tricks for photographing animals AND they raised $300 in a fundraiser that benefited PACA/AAR (People’s Anti-Cruelty Association/Albuquerque Animal Rescue). PACA is a non profit, no-kill animal rescue group that serves abandoned and abused dogs and cats. Kids who attended this summer camp really made a difference this summer!

This sounds like the best camp ever! There is a special place in heaven for all you have done for the animals. You are their voices. Hope you can visit Kitty City in Clark’s Pet Emporium on Menaul, just 2 doors west of Juan Tabo and see a few of the PACA animals that you have saved. Thank you so much. There are volunteers at Kitty City from 10 until 4 every Saturday to show you the cats.
