Access 2010: Beginning
Understand the basic concepts of database use and how to most effectively design your database. Design basic tables and add, edit, locate, sort, filter and delete records. Set field properties, work with input masks, and set validation rules. Learn to design and apply queries, reports, and forms to make it easier to accomplish everyday database tasks. Prerequisite: Basic computer experience. Looking for Access: Intermediate

Essentials of Hardware and Operating Systems
This CompTIA A+ Essentials course, 220-701 is required for everyone seeking A+ certification. Successful completion of the course validates knowledge of basic computer hardware and operating systems, including how to install, build, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, diagnose and perform preventive maintenance. Customer service and security skills are also covered. Course materials include test review materials and practice test software. Note: Exam Voucher is included when you complete 63131 and 63134, valid for 6 months upon completion of both classes. Prerequisites: Knowledge of computers and operating systems.

Windows 7: Operating System Basics
Learn the basic functions of Windows, how to customize its setup, and create and work with shortcuts. Work with the Taskbar, Windows Explorer, Control Panel, file management, Accessories, the Find utility, and on-line Help. Prerequisite: Basic computer knowledge. Note: See Course Skills Assessment. Learn basic principles of map making and map reading. Explore issues such as scale, declination, elevation, and location systems. Learn the elements of USGS maps, as well as digital map elements and systems.

Introduction to Geographic Information Systems
Explore the world of GIS and how it’s being used to solve real world problems in this introductory course. Learn about projections, coordinate systems, geodatabase coverage, and GIS data formats. Discuss the various software and hardware tools currently in use, including Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and efforts to standardize GIS formats. Prerequisite: 69304 or equivalent experience.
