Tuition Remission Returning for Personal Enrichment

StudentEffective Aug. 1, active employees and retirees will be eligible to apply the equivalent of undergraduate resident tuition for up to one credit hour per calendar year to approved Personal Enrichment courses offered by the Division of Continuing Education, UNM Center for Life and other University departments. In addition, active employees and retirees will remain eligible for the equivalent of undergraduate resident tuition for up to two credit hours per calendar year of approved Health and Fitness Courses, and retirees will remain eligible for unlimited academic and professional development courses, subject to the provisions of University Policy 3700. Employees and retirees are reminded that Personal Enrichment and Health and Fitness Courses provided through the University are taxable benefits, included in the taxable income of participating employees and retirees.

Note: Spouses, domestic partners and dependent children are not eligible for tuition remission on Personal Enrichment or Health and Fitness courses.

    It would be helpful to see the enrollment date for the next semester on this website. Even though there are classes in session, people need to plan ahead for the following semester. It would also save on what I’m sure are numerous phone calls to your office!
