Upcoming Classes for Kids

Youth Programs at UNMCE has some exciting upcoming classes for kids:

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) (ages 12-17)

Youth Camp SupervisorLearn critical child care, safety and care techniques for infancy and children and receive a certification card good for two years.

Still Life: Born to Draw (ages 7-11)

Using the Born to Draw Children’s Drawing iBook program, participants will learn observational drawing through mark making, line, shape, placement, textures, value, color and perspective. Each class is geared for a child to complete a drawing of an animal or a still life during class time. Other activities include making a portfolio, learning about the color wheel, and more. Courses are designed to teach drawing though shape relationships, formal elements of art and observation.

When: Saturdays from 10am-12pm starting Feb. 21 and running through Mar. 28

Spring Break Camps

youth-brochureIt’s a great time to launch a lifetime love of learning! The Youth Program at UNM Continuing Education is offering engaging, hands-on camps led by expert instructors for ages 4-17 during the APS Spring Break from Mar. 30 – Apr. 2, 2015.

Morning and afternoon week-long camps will feature cartooning, engineering, LEGOs, architecture, yoga, mock trial, silversmithing, puppetry, and more!
