The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of New Mexico (UNM) has been awarded a second $1 Million endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation. OLLI at UNM offers educational, and recreational courses for learners age 50+ around the Albuquerque, NM area. Recently, OLLI at UNM was challenged with raising $20,000 from members in order to receive the endowment. Maralie Belonge, OLLI Program Supervisor, was instrumental in the program’s success, and helped the program exceed its goal. The endowment will help OLLI at UNM continue to provide quality programs to New Mexico’s senior learners. Many of OLLI’s instructors are former college professors, world travelers, and share a passion for sharing their knowledge with the community.
